RSS feed indicator

You can use Firefox on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Macintosh OS X, and Linux. To subscribe to Lily’s RSS feed, go to Lily’s News page and click on the blue RSS indicator at the right end of the address bar (the indicator in Firefox 2 looks similar but orange-colored).

The page then displays the RSS feed with a set of subscription controls at the top. Make sure “Live Bookmarks” is selected in the menu, then click “Subscribe Now.” A dialog box appears asking you to give the feed a name, which can be anything you choose. You can also select whether to place the name in the Bookmark menu, or the bookmark toolbar.

Firefox does not include a method for notifying you of new items in RSS feeds. Some Firefox add-ons do provide that functionality, and more information can be found on the Firefox Add-ons page.
