
Lily Mei, 38, and her family relocated from the East Coast in 1994, choosing Fremont for its family-friendly environment. She is the proud parent of a daughter and a son, both students in the Fremont Unified schools.
Lily has a passion for education. Over the years she has served in many parent organizations in Fremont in roles ranging from room parent to fundraising and membership chair. She has been active in representing parents’ voices as a member of the FUSD Pupil Overload Task Force.
Lily now serves as the Fremont Council PTA School Board Liaison, coordinating communication between the unit PTAs in Fremont and the Fremont School Board. Fremont Council PTA represents all PTAs in Fremont.

The Fremont Unified School District selected Lily for a position on the Ad Hoc Budget Task Force Committee due to her well-known involvement with issues concerning the district. In this role, Lily served as a voice for the parent community, and fought to establish developer fees comparable to surrounding growing communities—all with the goal of establishing education funds to address the needs of the increasing student population.
Lily embraces Fremont’s many diverse recreational and civic efforts and has been a volunteer and leader in supporting local scouting and sports programs such as soccer, Little League, and swim team. She is also a member of:

Lily’s enthusiasm for supporting education began early, while living in Pennsylvania. She tutored children, shared an economics course with grade-schoolers, and assisted an elementary school to raise awareness and funds to build an educational playground. As a college intern, she helped coordinate the Wharton Business School’s successful 250th anniversary fund campaign.
Lily is currently the Executive Director of the Alliance for Gray Market and Counterfeit Abatement (AGMA), a high-technology trade association committed to addressing the global impact of the gray market and counterfeiting of goods in the technology industry. She also brings years of experience in financial planning and marketing.
