Lily Mei

The Fremont Unified School District selected Lily for a position on the Ad Hoc Budget Task Force Committee due to her well-known involvement with issues concerning the district. In this role, Lily served as a voice for the parent community, and fought to establish developer fees comparable to surrounding growing communities—all with the goal of establishing education funds to address the needs of the increasing student population.

Lily embraces Fremont’s many diverse recreational and civic efforts and has been a volunteer and leader in supporting local scouting and sports programs such as soccer, Little League, and swim team. She is also a member of:

  • Citizens for Better Community
  • Mount Jade Association
  • American Association of University Women

She has also been involved with:

  • Fremont Education Coalition
  • Tri-City Homeless Coalition

Lily’s enthusiasm for supporting education began early, while living in Pennsylvania. She tutored children, shared an economics course with grade-schoolers, and assisted an elementary school to raise awareness and funds to build an educational playground. As a college intern, she helped coordinate the Wharton Business School’s successful 250th anniversary fund campaign.

Lily is currently the Executive Director of the Alliance for Gray Market and Counterfeit Abatement (AGMA), a high-technology trade association committed to addressing the global impact of the gray market and counterfeiting of goods in the technology industry. She also brings years of experience in financial planning and marketing.
